Chinese form of medicine is over two and a half thousand years old. This form is well known and is adopted in many parts of the world as it is one of the safest among all medicine.
Early Chinese emperor was very keen about plants and he used to research with the taste and the potion of them and later recorded them. Later a book was named after him although it was not written by him but he served as an inspiration. He is recognized as the father of Chinese herbal medicine.
Chinese people are recognized for the early research on herbal drug, warming up stones and rocks. The evidence of this has been discovered in form of lettering on the stays of tortoise shells for water and it cures from the early times. Today many spiritual, philosophical and religious are incorporated in practice derived from both Daoism and Confucianism. These have both profoundly impacted Chinese civilization and the way of their life over a long period of time.
An important element of this medicine is the “Yin” and “Yang” which mostly all of us must have heard in our lives. Yin and Yang, both are opposite forces closely attached together and different yet containing some particles of the other within themselves. This reports the great balancing behavior of nature; everything has its own creative power and being, although nothing can remain in isolation. Thus, they are always interdependent on everything else.
We have a connection with every thing around us, speaking in personal terms. We must continuously exercise in balancing the powers in our bodies. We should live in order to encourage peace and healthy living. Our bodies are separated into these two different forces. Yang is the outer side of our body, upper section of the body and the alert organs which is the urinary bladder, stomach, brain and intestines. The inside part of our body is the yin, the lower portion and represents the liver, heart, lungs, spleen and kidney. We must incorporate fire, water, wood, metal and earth in our body.
The other section of Chinese medicine uses the energy meridians of our body through which the “qi” flows. There are different “accupoints” along those meridians and it is very important that energy flows through them without any restrictions. We are infected by diseases when energy is not equally distributed. Acupuncture, another form of medicine is also used to equalize the distribution.
Chinese medicine has many benefits and is recognized for better results than any other form of drugs.
